How did it all start? Like any good story, it all began many many years ago – in the mid 80s, to be precise – with one man’s passion for quality wine and everything that had to do with culture of social drinking. Avi Ben opened his first wine shop in the mid 80s in the legendary Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem. Some years later he moved to the city center, Nahalat Shiva Prominade, where his flagship store is located to the present day. The shop has established itself as a renown local wine fixture and for the last 30 years has a steadily growing clientele from Jerusalem and the environs.

Our ancestors appreciated good wine, and we, as per the ancient tradition, meticulously curate the wineries and brands we carry, in order to offer the best and make your hearts merry. Be it local (with emphasis on Jerusalem area producers) or imported variety, in Avi Ben, you will find only the finest quality items, some of them stocked exclusively.

However, our offering is not limited to selling you great wine only. We will be happy to consult and help you match the right kind of beverage to any occasion and food – all for you to have the best dining experience ever. And speaking of experiences – every Friday we are hosting wine and spirits tasting of selected brands in our stores in Jerusalem and Mevaseret.
